Spend Mother’s Day weekend in Henderson as the premier destination introduces Art & All That Jazz, May 7-8, 2011, a fine arts and jazz festival featuring professional artists and musical guests. Art & All That Jazz is the newest addition to a vibrant collection of spirited events taking place in Henderson annually.
“We are very excited to introduce Art & All That Jazz, an event that combines beautiful works of art, from sculptures to paintings to crafts, with the sultry sounds of jazz, performed by a variety of talented musicians,” said Andrea Primo, Director for the Cultural Arts & Tourism Department. “We look forward to welcoming art enthusiasts and jazz fans to Henderson to experience this culturally-rich event.”
Art & All That Jazz will feature a variety of contemporary artists, fine craft, fashion and home décor artisans. The two-day festival will also include daily jazz entertainment and a kids’ corner furnished with an assortment of interactive activities. Additionally, Piazza Colori, an adaptation of an Italian street painting festival, allows talented chalk artists to use the Henderson Events Plaza as their canvas to create colorful and ornate chalk art masterpieces.
